Week 1 in Plainwell

We have been hard at work the past week settling into our new home.  The girls are adjusting fairly well (Lydia had a couple mornings she was up WAY to early), and we are enjoying our new neighbors and quiet road.  I think for me, the lack of semi-trucks and school buses and constant traffic is my favorite thing about living up here.  Growing up in the country, I was not used to all the traffic on 9th st, so this is wonderful to be able to play outside and go for walks and not have to deal with the noise!!!!  We cleaned the garage (still full of supplies so we can't use it yet, but it's clean at least!), we have started a couple burn piles to get rid of all the underbrush, got some trim up in Lydia's room and stained more trim, and lots of little projects all over the place.

Lydia loves it here.  She has been playing with all her toys outside since it has been a wonderful Indian Summer this past week.  She plays in her new bedroom much more than she did at the 9th st house, so hopefully that means she likes her new bedroom too!

Makayla is sort of indifferent still!  She mostly hangs out in her swing or bouncy seat while Joel and I work.  She still eats, sleeps and has become very smiley......and I even got a bonefide giggle out of her a couple days ago.  Ahhh, I love being her mom!! :)

Oh, I almost forgot about Jupiter...she loves it too.  There are lots and lots of squirrels and chipmonks to bark at and chase!  Joel even found a muskrat, but Jupiter missed that fun!   As you will see in a picture below, she loves to sit/lay in our front door and watch the world go by...it's a dogs life!

making sure that paci doesn't go anywhere!

I thought this was too cute! :)

Door isn't completely finished so that will come back down, but
here you can see the trim and what it will look like soon!
