Clearing out Trees

Before

After

Before

During

Joel and Ryan (our nieghbor) cleaning up the
giant tree.  Lucky the nieghbors have a wood-burning
stove because they just got a ton (or 6) of free wood!

This giant one was about 5 ft from our kitchen window,
so it had to come down too.

Joel's cousin scaling the tree to top it...
kinda scary and cool!

After

Obviously, this had to go too...
along with most of these smaller trees.

Looks a little like a disaster zone
...oh wait...
it is a disaster zone! :)

Got Mulch~

This looks like a nice place to sit!

Perfect Fall day...and MNF!

We are having the most amazing Indian Summer here!  We are absolutely loving playing outside, so I thought I would be crazy to not try to get a few pictures.  Most of you know Lydia usually refuses to smile for me and the camera, but I got a few good ones!

MNF is also tonight and my Detroit Lions are playing Joel's Chicago Bears.  So, in team spirit I made a Lions onesie for Makayla and Lydia was very excited to wear her Lions shirt too!  However, I thought I would be nice and make sure the Bears were represented as well, so I put Bears bows in her pigtails.

Enjoy the pics!

Our new house

Snuggle Time!!!!

Movin stuff in...and getting the TV hooked up so we can watch
U of M kick Minnesotas butt all over the field as we unpack!
We had to prioritize!

Sunday-Funday!  Watching the Lions' awesome comeback win over the Cowboys!

Megan, Makayla, and Lydia chillin on the sofa.
The rest of the Vos clan visited us Saturday evening as well
to check out the new digs!

Future Diningroom/Current Kitchen

Through the plastic is our future kitchen and another
family room.  We have to go outside and through the
garage to get to the kitchen area and to the basement;
when Joel is over there Lydia says he is next door!
It cracks me up!

This is our make-shift kitchen.  The fridge is plugged in, food
is in rubbermaid containers, and we have a crock pot,
griddle, microwave, and grill to cook with!  So far so good!
The wood floor will be finished when we can tie
it in with the finished kitchen!

Makayla's bedroom!  This is my favorite room in the house
because it means that Makayla finally has a room of her own! :-)

Lydia wanted to help Makayla break in her new bed!

Lydia's new bedroom!
It is girly...but then again, she is a girl!

The totally hillbilly "blinds" are garbage bags!  Haha
Whatever keeps the sun out so she can nap!

As you all can see we have a long way to go.  However, we are surpisingly comfortable here.  We already have more room and the kitchen, half bath, and 2nd family room still need to be finished...we won't know what to do with all the space!!

Moving Day...finally!

Saying goodby to Lydia's baby nursery.  Took effort not to cry!

Scott helping Joel take apart our room.

Our fun basement held all our toys and we will miss this room very much.  Currently all Lydia's toys are pilled high in her bedroom and closet!

Our sweet nieces, Emily and Sarah, helped us out tremendously by taking care of the girls.

And this is where Little Lady spent most of the morning while we did all the packing and loading!

I'm not sure I remember giving them a break! haha

Goodby Old House

I know this house was tiny and not fancy at all...but I fell in love with it!  Joel and I got married while living here, brought 2 dogs here (and sadly only left with one), brought our two gorgeous daughters home to this house, and had countless good times here.  I know life hasn't been perfect here, but it was our life for 5 1/2 good years!  We will miss you...and that wonderful, huge, fun, time consuming, finally have it the way we want it just in time to move backyard!!!! :)
