Memorial Weekend Festivities

Our festivities started Friday night when we shipped the girls off to their Aunt Julie's house for the much needed night off!  We saw MIB3 (wait till it's a rental), and went to bed early and slept in late......it was glorious! :)  Saturday we got a bunch of house work done (stay tuned for a post of house updates) before heading down to Portage to pick up our ladies!  Sunday was a funday!  We had my nephew's 9th birthday party (still can't beleive the kid is 9!) and then headed back to Joel's sister's house for an afternoon at the pool, since it was in the mid-90's!

Monday, of course, was Memorial Day.  We went to Otsego for their pathetic parade...it was a tad disappointing, but Lydia and Makayla didn't seem to mind.  They made out with bags full of candy, so it was a success for Lydia at least! :)

BFF's

My dad hit a deer on the way up to see us;
the deer and Jeep didn't fair so well, but I still have my Dad!!!

There is something about cute little butts that I just love!

This sums up the weekend pretty well!

Happy 3rd Birthday, Lydia!

Lydia is turning 3! Here's a look back at her year of being 2....there were some pretty big changes...
1. becoming a big sister
2. moving into a new house
3. moving into a big girl bed
4. the Lions beat the Bears on Monday Night Football,
and U of M beat OSU for the 1st time in a long time!
(ok, maybe this last 1 was more about me!)

I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I do
(it was so hard to narrow it down...but here are the winners!)

2nd Birthday :)

Meeting Makayla for the first time!

1st kiss <3

She sleeps anywhere...even sitting up!

And summer fun turns to fall, leaves, and football!

I Love my big girl bed...it's so much easier to jump now!

So proud of her being such a great potty trainer!

Supervising Dad's work!

More cuddles.......

And finally...we are getting back to summer!
The best thing about Lydia's birthday is the start of summer!

You have made the last 3 years the best of my life, Lydia!
You are focused, determined, goofy, loving, bossy, sassy, happy
compassionate and most of all, mine!!

Mom and Dad love you to the moon and back!

We are having a BOY!!

Over the past several months I have repeatedly asked Lydia if she was going to get a baby brother or another baby sister.  She answered baby brother at least 9 out of 10 times!  That little girl always seems to get what she wants! ;)  All of us (even Makayla in her infant sort of way) are so excited to welcome this little guy into our family.  He will, without a doubt, be the perfect addition for us!

Kinda blurry, but adorable already! :)

I just couldn't resist these shirts!
Shopping for a boy is much easier.....
the boy section is a 1/4 of the girl section!!

I just can't slow her down!

9 months and 4 days old...she' my little lunatic!  I love her into a
million pieces, but man is she gonna give me a run for my money!
I cannot wait to see what kind of little girl she grows into!

Surprise! We are pregnant....again!

Hey everyone,

Joel, Lydia, Makayla, and I are so blessed and excited (and a little panicky) to announce we are completing our family of 5 this September with the birth of our new child.  January 27th I got a wonderful, and shocking, positive pregnancy test that sent us into a bit of a whirlwind!  While this little bundle of joy was not exactly the way we planned for our family to be completed, we are putting our complete trust in the big Man upstairs that all will work out according to His plan.....and we all know His plan is always better than ours (He has proven that to us time and time again)!!!

We truely are looking forward to this next year and our third, sweet, little baby.  Lydia is certain, most of the time, that she will finally have a little brother!  Our next ultrasound will be sometime in mid May, and we will attempt to find out then if her little intuition is correct!

I have felt so great this whole pregnancy, I'm 15 weeks, and I cannot be more grateful for the incredible opportunity with which I have been blessed.  I honestly can't say enough times how much I love being pregnant and how much I will miss it after this one.  I think Juno said it best when she said "pregnancy often leads to an infant"...but if it didn't, I would be pregnant all the time!!  I am lucky enough to be able to do this 3 times, and I think we will leave it at that!  :)

Love,
The Oele's

doesn't take the best pics!)

A few of my favorites from March!

The girls and I have had such a wonderful time enjoying this gorgeous weather! Unbelievable how warm and sunny it's been.  Perfect for walking down to Plainwell Ice Cream Co., playing with the neighbor kids, and getting really dirty in our yet to be seeded front yard! :)

At least she can still breathe!

A flower for my baby sister! :)

I am just relieved she isn't serious!
(Sarcasm...if you couldn't figure that out!)

And this one is never serious.....
I never knew siblings could be so different!

That's better...a little smile!
It is so incredibly nice to have a kitchen again.
We opened it up the week after
Christmas, so we've had it for a while!
After living almost 3 months under constrution though,
I will never again take a kitchen for granted!!!!

Looking from dining room toward back family room.
There are 2 pendulum lights above the peninsula that need installation still,
otherwise, everything's done except floor and trim.

Joel built this cool cubby for the fridge...
I love it!

Future back family room!  A couple rows of ceiling left, carpet,
and trim and then that's done too!
I'm sure it will be more of a toy room
than a family room...but I'm okay with that! :)
